Enhancing E-Bike Sales Training with Virtual Reality

The Challenge

With the launch of the Sparta ION-M8i and M10i e-bikes, Accell Academy wanted to ensure that dealers could effectively highlight the bikes' unique selling points (USPs) in customer interactions. While traditional training methods covered the technical aspects, there was a need for an innovative and engaging way to showcase key components—the motor, steering console, and battery—in a way that would make them more tangible and memorable for both dealers and customers.

Our Approach

To enhance product training, Innovam developed a Virtual Reality (VR) app, complementing an e-learning module (knowledge) and classroom training (skills). This app allowed dealers to:

  • Visualize key components in 3D, including cut-open animations showing the inner workings of the motor, steering console, and battery.
  • Access interactive ‘hotspots’, providing instant theoretical insights into each component.
  • Use the app across multiple devices, including desktop PCs, tablets, and smartphones (iOS and Android), making it an accessible and flexible training tool.

By utilizing CAD data of the bicycles, Innovam created a realistic digital model, allowing users to virtually explore and understand the bike’s construction and maintenance requirements. The app could also be used during sales conversations, giving dealers a powerful tool to visually demonstrate Sparta’s advanced technology to customers.

The Impact

The VR app transformed technical training by making complex systems more transparent and interactive. Dealers gained faster, deeper insights into the bikes' features, improving both product knowledge and maintenance skills. Additionally, the app provided a valuable demonstration tool for customer interactions, reinforcing Sparta’s cutting-edge innovation in the e-bike market.
